The ISPAS radar
The ISPAS radar for Oil Spill Detection (OSD) uses
the latest technology to achieve detection of oil on
the sea surface under varying seastates, even
seastate 0. The advanced FMCW polarimetric Ku-
band radar has electronically scanning antennas
covering 100 degrees in less than 0.2 seconds.
The radar has been operational on the newest oil
producing platform in the North Sea, the Edvard
Grieg platform since October 2017.
The lightweight radar is installed on the Edvard
Grieg platform and has been tested for OSD from
ships.

User interface as a Vessel Traffic
Surveillance (VTS) radar
The ISPAS radar system proves to be well
suited for VTS operations.
In-house developed SW for anechoicchambers
with Vector Network Analyzer (VNA)
• Antenna measurements, nearfield and far
field
• RCS / ISAR
• SW and system may also be used for
measurements outside an anechoic chamber
